When You Can’t Get To The Vet, The Vet Can Come To You!

Advanced Animal Care, a veterinary provider out of Huntington Station, has introduced its Mobile  Animal Care Unit, bringing veterinary services to Nassau and Suffolk counties.

Huntington Station,  NY April 16, 2010-  Advanced Animal Care provides veterinary services to dogs and cats throughout Nassau and Suffolk counties. Much of the time, these animals visit their Huntington Station clinic. However, now AAC is providing a new, and more convenient method of non-emergency pet care with their Mobile Animal Care Unit (MACU.)

AAC’s MACU services include physical exams, routine and preventative healthcare, vaccinations, diagnostic lab testing, health certificates, microchipping, and home euthanasia. They can also diagnose and treat skin and ear problems, eye problems, mild to moderate arthritis and minor wounds and lacerations.

Some conditions, particularly those that require anesthesia, dentistry, surgery or xrays are not suitable for the MACU, however, the MACU can transport a pet to the main clinic, for any additional care that may be needed upon diagnosis.

“Mobile service is a great choice for people with limited transportation, time, or for pets that are too stressed by travel, or people with multiple pets,” says Michel Selmer, DVM.

MACU services are available to both existing AAC patients and new patients alike throughout Nassau and Suffolk counties, for an additional fee above a standard office visit.
